Child Protection

In the child protect we fight against child abuse, child labor, sexual exploitation, neglect and school dropout, to identify the above mentioned problems that we are fighting against we uses to assess those children personal and ask them how are they living at their homes and what are the challenges they are facing at home, schools, church, mosques and in the community

We know the child have no power to protect themselves from the sexual exploitation and other problems so it is our obligation as adult to protect them.

Health

When the child become sick we uses to collaborate with the parents to take the child to the hospital also we do first aid to the child before taking him or her to the hospital also we uses to visit the patient and support them with small aid like buying sugar and providing cooked food.

Moreover we also pray for the sick whether in the hospital or at their home

Behaviors

We are teaching them good behaves that will help other people love them examples greeting others, when they are called they are able to response and if they are send they are able to go, and also the ask permission when requesting for something, also asking for permission if they are going somewhere out of the compound and appreciating others by saying thank if they are given something or someone have done for them a good work and so on.

Reacing out and Observation

a. We reach to their homes.

There is a time we set for reaching to their and asking parents (caregivers) about the children, their health and even life how are they doing and progressing with their life behaves and studies.

b. School level:

When we reach in the school we go to the administration and seek permission to see the children/learners. When we find the class teacher of the children we ask him three questions

1. We ask about the attended of the child in the class/school, we check the register to confirm whether the child is present or not and again whether he/she attend the lessons or not.

2. We ask about his or her behaves in the school whether the child fight or make noise in the class or not.

3. We also ask about the child performance in the class .

Identification of Talent

a. Journalism.

Every Saturday at the end of the month we have a session through Radio SIFA FM ATOO of children to educate other children.

b. Games.

• Team of football: The children have their team of football and they uses to connect friendly match with other team to play together to enhance unity, peace and reduces the issues of SGBV.

• Drama: We uses to practice drama to educate others. Examples: Drama on the early pregnancy, Drugs and substance abused and so no.

• Cultural dance: We have cultural dance and we uses to have competition with difference nationalities to interact with one another and also to keep them busy not to involve themselves in bad immoral behaves. Also cultural dance is a form of body exercise which is good for the health of the children.

Supporting with basic needs

a. Food

For those vulnerable children we give them food after every six months the one that is cooked ready and they uncooked one some that they go and cook at their homes to help their family.

b. Stationeries.

Every opening of the year we uses to distribute to them school materials such as exercise books, bags and uniform.

Compentence Based Curriculum

We teach children competence basic curriculum to nurture and engage learners potential and nurture them with adequate skills and knowledge.

We teach some specific subjects which require remedial classes they includes: mathematics, Kiswahili, and English.
